The Cadence of Culture

Insight: In African American culture, storytelling has always been the primary mode of self-expression.

Execution: In honor of Juneteenth and Audiobook Appreciation Month, Spotify will collaborate with black rappers to create original tracks inspired by African American audiobooks that are available on Spotify.

Every song is inspired famous books written by African American authors.

Some of the books included are’ “I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings” by Maya Angelou, “The Hate U Give” by Angie Thomas, and “The Autobiography of Malcolm X”.

Finally, each song will come with cover art that will also be completely free to download.
